Clarity out.
Everything you need to know about the Markdown preview, local files, and PDF export.
How do I convert Markdown to PDF?
Paste your Markdown or open a local .md file, then select Save as PDF. In your browser’s print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the destination. The PDF uses the same document typography, tables, quotes, and code styling as the live preview.
Is my Markdown uploaded or stored on a server?
No. This public Markdown viewer reads and renders your document locally in your browser. It does not upload your text or files, or save them to server storage or browser storage. Closing or refreshing the page clears your work.
Which Markdown features are supported?
Preview headings, bold and italic text, links, blockquotes, numbered lists, task checklists, tables, and fenced code blocks with GitHub Flavored Markdown. Mermaid diagrams and mathematical notation are not rendered.
Can I open a Markdown file from my computer?
Yes. Open a UTF-8 .md or .markdown file up to 1 MB, or paste Markdown directly into the editor. No account or installation is required.
Why are images and embedded HTML blocked?
Remote images and embedded content are blocked to prevent automatic third-party requests from your document. Scripts and unsafe HTML are removed. Clicking an external link can still take you to another website.
How do I get the best PDF layout?
Choose your preferred paper size in the print dialog and disable browser headers and footers for a clean document. Enable background graphics to preserve tinted table headers, quotes, and code blocks. Very wide tables may need landscape orientation.
